Today we celebrate one of Palermo’s most typical street food: Panelle! They are small chickpea fritters, fried and then served with our Sicilian Bread, La Moffoletta with sesame seeds. I am sure that if you ever visited our hometown, you saw many “Panellari” in every corner of our streets with their small carts and their big iron skillets!
